To make sure your Alpine Mountaineering holiday really is one to remember we have stepped up our accommodation in the Aps.
This year Yeti Lodge in Argentiere is the new base for our Alpine Mountaineering programme .
Yeti Lodge chalets Brevent and Flegere are the accommodation we have selected for the following Alpine courses Discover Alpinism, Complete Alpine Climber, Mont Blanc extension and Alpine Giants.
Situated in the heart of the Mont Blanc range, Yeti Lodge is perfect for our Alpine courses and is ideal in many ways. Chalets Brevent and Flegere lie side by side with Plas y Brenin clients the only guests during your stay.
High quality accommodation and comfortable surroundings allow you to relax and really make yourself at home while you're in the 'valley'. Out of the mountains the Chamonix valley is one of the most scenic and historic mountaineering venues in the world. The Chalets are self-catering with modern and spacious kitchen space along with large dinning area.
Self-catering allows the perfect level of flexibility giving you the opportunity to keeps the cost down but still enjoy all the home comfort you need. Argentiere is only a 5 minute walk away where there are plenty of shops, bakeries, supermarkets, restuarants and famous mountaineering cafes/ bars.
To some Chamonix is one of the most important venues in the world for Alpine climbing and Mountaineering. Argentiere is located up the valley a little above Chamonix, with amazing views of the Mont Blanc range including mountains such as the Verte, the Dru, Aigulle de Midi and Mont Blanc. Argentiere is perfect for quick and easy access to the mountains giving you more time on the high glaciers and alpine summits. Its easy to get excited about the Chamonix and Argentiere, they are full of mountaineers and some have travelled the world to get there or even have decided to live there all year round. Finding the latest mountain conditions and weather forecasts is easy and accessible in Argentiere village, either from the tourist information or at shops and cafes.
Getting there is easy, and one of the great advantages to this new location for our courses. One of the easiest and most popular for short trips is via a flight to Geneva. Followed by a short transfer of approx one hour. For Plas y Brenin clients staying at Yeti Lodge please follow the link below to find our recommended transfer. Alternatively, you may want to drive yourself, this gives you greater flexibility if you are planning a longer trip or wishing to stay out after your course.
