British Canoeing Student Safety Seminar
(14-15 October 2017)

BCU Student Safety Seminar at Plas y Brenin

It’s time for the 23rd annual British Canoeing Student Safety Seminar. Based at Plas y Brenin in the heart of Snowdonia, the British Canoeing Student Safety Seminar is aimed at:

  • Those who are, or are likely to be student club committee members.
  • Those organising and running club trips.
  • Anyone else who fancies it (but the seminar is not intended for novices).

The main purpose of the event is to help your club to get out paddling more, to reduce the various types of risk that are out there to catch the unaware and to increase the skills and experience levels within your club. And you can bring as many club members as you like.

There will be a lecture in the bar on the Sat evening, followed by what is always a fine session, discussing the issues of the day!

The weekend is primarily a wet one, with Sat morn (and an hour sat evening) covering the brunt of the dull, dry (but really important) stuff!

There will be a lecture in the bar on the Sat evening, followed by what is always a fine session, discussing the issues of the day!

Have a chat with your Student Union, you should be able to persuade them to pay for this! This is the definitive ‘how to do it’!

The cost for this fantastic weekend with all the workshops listed below is only £65 per person
(food and accommodation not included).
