Discover Orienteering
An intensive introduction to the world of orienteering teaching you rough and fine navigation, map setting, contour interpretation, pacing, using attack points and compass work. By the end of it you'll have changed from an enthusiastic beginner to an eager competitor.
Make the leap from light green to green. This intensive two-day course is aimed at teachers who would like to develop their personal skills. During the weekend you will be coached on many of the techniques used whilst racing in local forests and parks.
Previous Experienceraced in events at orange/light green standard.
A two day course aimed primarily at teachers. Day one of the course comprises the British Orienteering Leaders course which is an introduction to teaching orienteering. Day two looks at skill development for those who would like to teach orienteering up to GCSE level.
If you're a teacher, outdoor instructor, or someone involved in any youth work and you are interested in giving youngsters an introduction to orienteering, this course will give you everything you need. From map reading and technical skills right up to how to plan your own course and train others to compete.
