Skiing and Ski Mountaineering
Off Piste Skiing in Austria with Plas y Brenin

Why Ski With Plas y Brenin

If you are passionate about your skiing, then you’re one of us. But if there is one thing better than a holiday on skis, it’s a week of skiing off piste, away from the crowds and the lifts, in an unspoilt and wintry mountain wilderness. If you are looking for so much more than just a ski holiday – then come along for the next adventure

What’s included?

Try this for size:

  • Fantastic venues – We make our annual pilgrimage to the superlative off piste gems of Galtur (Austria) or Andermatt (Switzerland)
  • Seven nights of high quality accommodation – all half board (bed, breakfast and dinner) from the night before to the morning after!
  • Six full days of skiing – finding the best snow as our Guides share their decisions.
  • Ski passes all included – from the fastest gondola to a lift in a snow-cat, it’s all paid for!
  • Great Ratios – with no more than six students to every Guide you can expect plenty of attention!
  • Top quality Guiding and coaching – fully qualified IFMGA British Mountain Guides at Plas y Brenin, with a:
  • Refreshing philosophy – all our Guides are experienced mountaineering instructors, and are just as interested in your education and development as your safety.
  • No nasty surprises – we’ll even kit you out with all the essential safety kit at no extra cost. And if you need to hire some touring skis, skins and boots – we’ll even take you to the hire shop and help you rent the best equipment of the season.

So if you are looking for more than just a ski trip this winter, check out our range of courses over the two venues. Whether you want to “dip your toes” off the piste (before cruising fresh tracks back to the hotel) or you’re looking to hone your skills on a committing multi day hut to hut adventure (okay – so the huts are pretty comfy too); there is something for everyone. Ski Safari Andermatt
Off Piste Skiing and Ski Touring with the National Mountain CentreThis is the week our guides would choose as their holiday.
Based in Switzerland's premier off-piste ski destination which offers maximum skiing for minimal effort. The 'Gotthard Oberalp Arena' is unbelievable - each and every one of the massive number and variety of lift systems is linked by a typically 'Swiss-efficient' railway, making it fast and reliable to move from one fantastic off-piste run to another. Quite simply, there is so much off-piste skiing the hardest part is deciding where to go next and thankfully it's not your job to decide.
Of course, wherever your day ends, you'll only be a short and comfortable train ride away from our luxurious hotel base in Andermatt.
Previous Experience: If you have completed one (or more) of our courses before, or have completed several multi day tours, this week could be for you. If in doubt, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Ski Tour Andermatt
Off Piste Skiing and Ski Touring with the National Mountain CentreIf you've had a taste of ski-touring, this is the ideal next step for you. This exciting wilderness adventure is a step up from our Silvretta ski tour in every way. Kicking off in the freeride capital of Switzerland 'The Gemsstock' the tour begins by blowing away the cobwebs on a fast moving shake down day, before heading off into the remote splendour of the Urner Alps. From then on it's a continuous journey from one hand-picked mountain hut to another, taking in some of the most amazing skiing and dramatic scenery Europe has to offer. Without a doubt Plas y Brenin’s most ambitious ski tour to date.
Previous Experience: If you can handle a week of continuous off-piste skiing or you’ve been on our Off-Piste Ski Safari this is the obvious next step.
