We’ve been running courses in climbing and paddling for young people for many years. That experience has helped us identify the most important ingredient in outdoor learning - ‘fun’. All our courses focus on providing maximum enjoyment whilst learning and developing outdoor skills, with each of our highly qualified instructors a true enthusiast, keen to pass on their skills as well as their unique approach to the outdoors.
This year we’re offering a month of courses designed solely for those aged 12 to 17 years based at our purpose-built sites, Bryn Engan and Moelwyn Cottage. We’re also running a range of young persons skills courses taking up the entire Plas y Brenin building for one week. So participants will be surrounded by people of their own age and interests.
In addition to instruction participants on these courses will be looked after at all times wth male and female members of staff always close at hand.
Other activities that can be tried in the evening include skiing, orienteering, paddling and climbing.
