There's always something going on in our bar. Whether it's an interesting talk or an open meeting, you are welcome to come along. Sometimes there is a small admission fee.

Mountain running, ultra Marathons, sky races.... why do we do it? In a new talk, Alice discusses the reasons why people run. From jogs around the park to running hundreds of miles across entire mountain ranges, Alice talks about what drives people, including herself, to run.

The Archeology of Sheep in Snowdonia

 

The present landscape of Snowdonia has been heavily influenced by sheep farming and the physical remains of sheep management are the most common historical features to be seen in the hills. This talk looks at the purpose of those odd walls and shelters that you will have seen but may not have noticed while walking in Snowdonia. This evening's speaker is Jane Kenney, Senior Archeologist at Gwynedd Archaeological Trust. Talk starts at 8pm, free and open to all.

 

 

A Swift Half

A Swift Half

 

Come and join us for an evening of all things swift. These remarkable little birds fly to north Wales and indeed Plas y Brenin from South Africa every year to nest and rear their young. This event will be led by Ben Stammers of the North Wales Wildlife Trust. Ben will lead some informal discussions from 6.00 pm and this will be followed by a talk at 8.00 pm. The evening will include observing the Plas y Brenin Swifts. Start 6.00 pm, talk at 8pm.
