The Future Leaders Fund

Sorry, we are no longer taking applications for the Future Leaders Fund.
All the money has now been allocated to help leaders access National Governing Body training and assessment courses.

The Future Leader Fund was set up in March 2013 to help volunteer leaders in the outdoors access the training they need in order for them to perform better as a leader or coach.  The fund was aimed at furthering hillwalking, mountaineering, climbing, mountain biking and paddlesports in England.  The amount of subsidy was linked to an index of areas where those interested in becoming outdoor leaders may be lacking in opportunity or advantage making the training more affordable by up to 75%.  The Future Leader Fund ran until June 2016 and funded a total of 534 places on PYB courses.
