Alltshellach - Our Base in Scotland
?Alltshellach is a magnificent traditional Scottish house, originally the country residence of the Bishop of Argyll. It is a comfortable and ideally located base for Plas y Brenin's Scottish courses.

Alltshellach is located on the shores of loch Leven just a half mile from the Ballachulish bridge on the A82. Based as it is, just a few miles from Glencoe to the west and 12 miles from Fort William to the eas,t it is perfectly placed for access to a wide range of mountains and cliffs in the Glencoe, Glen Clive, Ben Nevis, White Corries, Grey Corries and Aonach Mor areas.
The house offers very comfortable accommodation with a variety of single and twin rooms -| with en-suite facilities in most of the rooms. There is a cosy lounge and a friendly bar so there are plenty of opportunities to relax in the evenings. A large impressive dining room, excellent meals and friendly staff, make Alltshellach a great place to stay and run our courses.

For our wintre programme in Scotland we take all the necessary technical equipment, provide equipment to students if required, have our own mini buses and the use of an efficient drying room. It is a great base.
During our nine weeks Scottish winter season Plas y Brenin has sole use of Alltshellach where the local staff make it a home from home for our instructors and students.

Please Note:
All of our course dates are for the actual full days of instruction. For our Scottish programme most visitors have a long journey to and from Alltshellach so, unlikeour competitors, we provide accommodation the evening before a course starts and an evening meal, accommodation and breakfast after the course finishes. Most, but not all of our winter courses involve arrival on a Saturday for a course start on Sunday.
