Bryn Engan - Our Self Contained Accommodation Unit

Bryn Engan is a new self-contained accommodation unit available for hire by local and visiting parties of up to 16 people. Situated away from the main Plas y Brenin site it is a five-minute walk over the footbridge below the Centre.
Vehicle access is along a forest track directly from the A5. The accommodation consists of two rooms sleeping six people each and two twin bedded rooms. The unit contains a well-equipped kitchen, hot showers, drying room and classroom/dining room. For groups who wish to train in camping skills there is an ideal area for camping which is easily supervised from the building.

Self-contained parties staying at Bryn Engan are able to benefit from the natural surroundings that include river, woodland and mountain study areas. There are also routes onto Moel Siabod, and opportunities for Orienteering. Additionally groups can arrange instructed activities at Plas y Brenin including rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing and orienteering or skiing. Instructors are also available for hire to support visiting leaders/teachers. Instruction should be booked at the same time as accommodation. The Plas y Brenin bar, climbing walls and other facilities are all close at hand. Groups normally bring their own bedding but can hire linen and bedding if required. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets. For safety reasons Bryn Engan is a non-smoking facility. Keys for Bryn Engan are available from reception after 5.00pm on the evening of arrival. The facility should be vacated by 10.00am on the morning of departure, leaving it clean and tidy. Contact reception or use the web to access the booking conditions.
