We are looking for an insights analyst to join our team at the National Outdoor Centre.


About Plas y Brenin

As a National Outdoor Centre, Plas y Brenin develops the people that develop the outdoor sector – from instructors to centre managers to expedition leaders to NGB officers to policymakers. This includes  developing inspiring coaches, instructors and leaders in adventure sport, be they volunteers or working professionally in the sector, to better support people, from all backgrounds, to get active in the outdoors.
By hosting conferences, symposiums and meetings, we bring together practitioners from across the UK (and beyond) to share learning, transfer good practice and raise standards. This inspirational venue, with a worldclass reputation, is also committed to helping individuals nurture their skills and confidence for independent adventures.

About the Role

Competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 dependent on experience.

To analyse a wide range of data to help inform marketing, sales, brand and business strategies, and develop evidence-based insights to support PYB and MTT’s strategic and operational objectives; supporting the Commercial team and Executive leadership team by delivering performance advice. The Insights Analyst will be an expert in all things data and will lead on the compilation and development of management information and reporting.

Comfortable using a wide range of analytical tools to produce reports, the Insights Analyst will be familiar with both digital data such as social and search, through to traditional business data and management information. The role will utilise statistical skills to provide business insights that drive revenue, engagement, participation and customer satisfaction, by focussing on the most impactful questions of why, what if and how should  we?
