You'll achieve the qualification to lead groups in hill and moorland terrain in the UK.

What to Expect
You'll be assessed against the Mountain Training Syllabus over three days on the hill. The emphasis will be on navigation, and looking after your group and the environment
There will be theoretical evening sessions between 5:30-6:30pm and also one practical night navigation after dark.
Before you book onto a Hill and Moorland Leader assessment, make sure you have done the following:
You must have attended a Hill and Moorland Leader training course (or have been granted exemption)
You must be familiar with the syllabus
You must have logged a minimum of 40 Quality Hillwalking Days in at least three different upland areas of the UK and Ireland
You must hold a current first aid certificate, minimum 16 hours and relevant to your work as a Hill and Moorland Leader
The Hill and Moorland Leader assessment is 3 days long.
We want to help you focus on achieving your goals so if you're staying with us, comfortable accommodation (with WIFI included) and good food are part of the deal, you don't need to think about sorting this out for yourself. Support is on hand from our friendly, and exceptionally well qualified staff, to help develop your understanding and personal skills. They also help you to formulate an appropriate action plan for your further development.
