We’re incredibly pleased to be sharing our roadmap to reopening Plas y Brenin. As restrictions ease, we are phasing our return to activities in line with Welsh Government legislation and guidance.

Please note that pre-booking is essential for all activities. If you already have a booking with us, a member of our team will be in touch if the latest legislation and guidance affects you.

From Monday 5 April

We’re welcoming back groups of up to five people for:

Given restrictions will still be in place, you’ll all need to be residents in Wales; either living locally or in self-contained holiday accommodation.

From Monday 12 April

As restrictions on travelling into Wales from the rest of the UK will be lifted, those outside Wales can visit us for the day, or stay in self-contained holiday accommodation. We’ll be continuing to offer:

School groups will be able to rejoin us for our immersive, engaging and educational day visits from this date too.

From Monday 26 April

We’ll be opening up for outdoor service from our Yr Wyddfa bar for customers with us on activities or courses, with stunning views of Snowdon from our patio and lawn. Perfect for a scenic spot of lunch, or for some refreshment after a big day out in the hills. Cheers!

If the public health situation in Wales continues to improve, we’ll also be able to deliver organised outdoor activities for groups of up to 30 people. You’ll need to be visiting for the day, or staying in your own self-contained accommodation. This means we’ll be able to have larger groups join us for:

From Saturday 1 May

Our Yr Wyddfa bar is open to the public for outside table service. Opening hours are:

Saturdays and Sundays: 10am – 9pm

  • 10am-midday: delicious breakfast sandwiches, teas, coffees and soft drinks
  • Midday-9pm: full range of drinks, and our famous bar meals.

Monday-Friday: 5pm-9pm

  • Bar meals served 7pm-8.45pm

From Saturday 29 May

The Welsh Government will be reviewing restrictions on indoor hospitality and remaining visitor accommodation ahead of this date.

You can now book with confidence onto our residential courses and experiences due to resume from Saturday 29 May.

Subject to the review allowing wider reopening, we’ll be delivering our full range of residential courses and experiences from this date and in line with our extensive COVID-safe measures.

If the situation changes and your course is unable to run, you will be offered your choice of a rescheduled course, a gift voucher or a full refund.

What about work-based training and services for essential workers?

Plas y Brenin is registered as a key worker hotel, and we can host guests who need accommodation for work or training purposes.

We can deliver essential work-based training on a residential basis under current restrictions.

We’re also able to act as a venue for externally led training courses that meet these criteria. Please get in touch for more information.
